‘In order to understand the true meaning of abstract art, we must conceive of ourselves as a reflex (reflection) of our reality. This means we must see ourselves as a mirror in which reality reflects itself’ Piet Mondrian
I have been exploring parallel approaches to abstraction in my practice through materiality, expressivity, action, gesture, and paint. I have a strong emotional connection with my work, I express myself through art. As artists have layers of depth, complexity, Sensitivity, and ambiguities. It is said what frequently matters most in art is emotion.
Art is not an object that you can fabricate, it is the expression of emotion in your mind.’
